Billy O’Keeffe

Billy O’Keeffe was appointed Chief Executive of Amawele in January 2007 and is based at Amawele’s Dublin office in Templeogue.  In recent years Billy was involved in the start up operations of both Vipre Ireland and before that Ebookers office in Ireland.  He has also worked with The Society of St. Vincent de Paul and as a religious education teacher in The Central Technical Institute, Clonmel, Co. Tipperary.

Vivienne Fenton

Vivienne Fenton hails from Cork but has been based in South Africa for a number of years.  Vivienne took up the position of Project Co-ordinator for Amawele in November 2006 and is based in Cape Town. Vivienne has previously worked with Friends In Ireland in the Eastern Cape province and has been very involved in providing support for their operations on the ground in South Africa.

Hilary McLoughlin

Hilary was appointed Development Education Officer with Amawele in October 2008 and is based in Kildare. Her most recent employment was as a primary school teacher in North Bay Educate Together NS in Kilbarrack, Co Dublin. Her  M.Sc. Technology and Learning thesis involved creating an educational space in the virtual world Second Life. Prior to this she had many years experience running her own film production company.
