How you can help

Potential doesn’t recognise borders. Every country is home to children with the intelligence, energy and vision to achieve great things. Our role is to empower that potential by feeding it with knowledge, understanding and confidence.

We can teach using books, videos and the internet but nothing compares to direct experience. Twinning your pupils with their peers, in another culture on the other side of the world, allows them to compare and contrast their experiences with those of real people, people they can communicate with and identify with.

All of those who come into contact through the Amawele project will have a fuller appreciation of the world in which they live, and of how they can contribute to making it a better place.

Amawele welcomes the support of any individual or organisation that understands and believes in its mission. Amawele was set up with an initial endowment by its founders. While this figure was sufficient to get the ball rolling, it isn’t sufficient for the organisation to fully realise its goals and ambitions.

We gratefully welcome further investment from those with the vision to see what can be, and is being, achieved. For some donors, Amawele is their key cause and enthusiasm, for others, it is part of a portfolio of organisations.
